6/11 Wes Judd Named to Illinois All-Star Team
The IHSLA also sponsors an A-Class and B-Class All-Star game for seniors at the end of each season. Each IHSLA team is given a number of roster spots based on their regular season final ranking and the coaches select seniors from their teams to represent their school. It is always a great time to watch the outgoing seniors exercise their lacrosse skills one last time as high-schoolers.
Wes Judd represented Barrington on the 2009 All-Star team.
The 2009 All-Star game was played on June 11 in Norris Stadium at St. Charles East High School. The B-Class game started 5:30PM and the A-Class game started at 7:30PM.

5/29 Round 2 Game Draws End to Season
While the Broncos won their 9-5 Round 1 Playoff victory against Fenwick, the road through the State Playoffs ended at New Trier on May 29th when Varsity lost to the #1 ranked team in the State.
The Varsity Broncos end the season with a 11-8 record.
While the loss was tough, the day ended on a high note as 16 Bronco Seniors captured their high school diplomas at the Class of 2009 Graduation ceremony at Willow Creek.
Special arrangements were made to allow Seniors to play their final game and get to their Graduation Ceremony with as little friction as possible. A second, Senior bus, was procurred departing for the game from Willow Creek Church at 2:00 p.m. after graduation practice. The bus then left the New Trier game for a return trip to the Graduation venue. Upon returning to Willow Creek the boys were led into the ceremony and, sitting together as a team, were the last Senior students to walk across the stage to receive their diplomas.
It seemed fitting that a great group of guys were able to experience this milestone as a unit and have the honor to have their diplomas granted together as a team.

5/8 Frosh Broncos Take Revenge on St. Viator in Dominating Fashion
After losing in a heartbreaker 2-3 the first time we met this season, we approached this game with a chip on our shoulder. We had an entire week to prepare for this game and results speak for themselves. The Broncos dominated every aspect of the game with a final score of 6-0.
5/3 Junior Varsity Car Wash a Big Success
A big thank you and congratulations to the Junior Varsity Coaches, Team Members, and Parents who raised $1,187 with their May 3rd car wash. Great job gentlemen!
4/29 Frosh Broncos Extend Winning Streak as they Dismantle New Trier
For the first time in 5 years, the Frosh Broncos came up with a win vs. visiting New Trier. The boys knew that they had to be relentless for all 4 quarters and that’s exactly what they did. Excellent team defense rejected nearly every NT offensive effort. Our offense controlled the ball more efficiently than NT and we took smarter shots. Our familiarity with muddy fields resulted in us winning every race to a loose ball which created many fast break opportunities. I like our chances of winning any game where we create a number of transition scoring opportunities as we did in the NT game. It was a great win and I am sure this will remain in all the players’ minds from both teams, throughout their high school lacrosse career. FINAL SCORE (BHS 6 - NT 4)

4/25 & 4/26 Culver Military Tournament
This year, both the Varsity and Junior Varsity squads participated in the Culver Military Academy's Lacrosse Festival in Culver, Indiana on April 25th & 26th.
An additional $150 fee was collected from players to cover the cost of the trip. The fee served to cover the boys cost of van transportation from BHS to Culver, tournament registration fees, meals and lodging.
The Varsity Broncos finished 1-2 for the weekend, with the 2 losses to last year's number 1 ranked teams in the States of Missouri (Rockhurst) and Indiana (Culver Military Academy). The tournament win was 10-8 against a very good, 7th ranked (IN), St. Joseph South Bend team that made it to the Indiana state championship last year. Click here to see the Festival Schedule.
Players and Coaches stayed at the Swan Lake Resort, 5203 Plymouth-LaPorte Trail, Plymouth, IN 46563, 574-935-5680 or 800-582-7539. Several parents also contacted the resort for reservations. Follow this link for other Culver area accommodations.
4/24 Frosh Broncos Finish-Off Libertyville 4-3
Following a disappointing, last second loss to conference rival St. Viator, the Freshman Broncos traveled to Libertyville last Friday with a chip on their shoulder. Despite a few disappointing penalties and injuries, the Broncos did just that while protecting a 1 goal lead until the final whistle blew; sealing their 2nd victory of the season, 4-3.
4/14 Varsity Fall to Viator -- JV Extend Winning Streak to Four
At the South Barrington Conservancy fields, the Varsity dropped their first game to Saint Viator 9-6. While Viator exhibited strong play, Bronco penalties and a couple of bar shot misses did not help the effort.
Meanwhile on the neighboring field, the BHS Junior Varsity team were rolling to their fourth victory in as many efforts. The JV Broncos pulled away with a 5-3 conquest.
4/11 Varsity & Junior Varsity Best Neuqua Valley
On a beautiful sunny Saturday, the BHS Lacrosse Varsity and Junior Varsity teams carved out victories over the Neuqua Valley Wildcats. The BHS Junior Varsity played a solid, heads-up game to extend their winning streak to three, winning a close match 5-4.
In the Varsity contest, the Barrington team faced former Barrington Coach Brian Prodoehl's Wildcats in their season opener. The Broncos and Wildcats played a tight, back and forth game until the Barrington team took charge in the late-third quarter and ended with a 10-7 result. Kyle Leman led the scoring with five goals.
In a hard fought contest, the Freshman Broncos bowed to a strong Wildcat team 6-9.
4/9 Varsity & Junior Varsity Beat Libertyville
Both the Varsity and Junior Varsity teams kicked-off their reguar seasons with huge wins over perennial rival Libertyville. On a cool Spring evening, the Junior Varsity team played the opener and came up with a shut out victory 3-0.
In their inaugural game in Barrington Community Stadium, the Varsity Broncos continued their pre-season success. The Varsity boys started strong in the first half, taking a commanding lead. But with a strong second half, the Wildcats came within reach, but finished short as the Broncos won 10-8.
4/8 Freshman Kick-off 2009 With a 8-4 Big Win Against Hoffman Estates
The Freshman boys played great while capturing their first win with a final score of 8-4. After weeks of practicing on half fields and basketball courts, the team easily adapted to a full field setting. Everyone hustled for all four quarters.
Both Goalies played exceptionally well while the defense assisted by keeping Hoffman’s shots to a minimum. After figuring out who our opponent’s shooter was, controlled stick checks by our long-stick midfielder shut Hoffman’s offensive effort down completely. Aside from pinpoint deep passes from our goalie, our clears were a bit shaky which we will be working on before Saturday’s game. Overall, I was very happy with our defensive unit.
Offensively, we had great looks at the cage and took many shots throughout the game. Our attackmen played great. Being the first time our offense played on a full field, they were able to see where the scoring opportunities form with the motion offense we run. During the second half of the game, both midfielders and attackman were learning how to create opportunities on their own.
3/29 & 4/5 -- Snow Storms Disrupt Practices
Snowstorms on consecutive Sundays disrupt the start of practices at the Hill 'N Dale Farm and cause postponement of the 3/31 Varsity and Junior Varsity games against Hoffman Estates. Coaches scramble to find alternative venues and agendas.
